Pan seared New York strip steak with chimichurri!

 

Ingredients

  • (1) 8-10 oz New York strip steak per person
  • 2 TBL butter
  • Sea salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper

 

Instructions

  1. Season the steak on both sides with salt and pepper
  2. Place the butter and oil into a fry pan over medium high heat until very hot but not smoking
  3. Sear the steak 3-6 minutes per side depending on how thoroughly cooked you like it
  4. Flip and sear the other side, again for 3-6 minutes
  5. Remove, cover and rest for five minutes
  6. Slice across the grain and serve with chimichurri sauce – get the recipe HERE!
