Eloise My Darling—the name of this cocktail says it all. It’s a heartfelt tribute to a girl who inspires me in ways too numerous to count.
I adore a certain young lady whose favorite color, at least when I crafted this cocktail, was pink. Of course, preferences can shift as easily as the wind—especially for someone so young and full of discovery. Those blessed with two X chromosomes, particularly at this age, have a delightful way of keeping us on our toes.
This remarkable girl is the whole package: fiercely intelligent, naturally athletic, effortlessly beautiful, and brimming with a unique sense of style. She has a spark that could light up a room and a charm that, someday, will leave some very fortunate guy utterly spellbound. For now, though, she has two unwavering admirers—me and her daddy—completely wrapped around her tiny, magical little finger.
“Eloise” my darling and my treasure is the very heart behind this cocktail’s creation. It’s a drink as radiant and vibrant as she is, inspired by her love for life and all things pink. Someday, when she’s older and the time is right, I hope I’ll have the privilege of raising a glass with her, sharing a moment that’s every bit as special as she is. Print
